Sushi hopping in Palms/Culver City

My friend and I are planning to go from sushi restaurant to sushi restaurant just trying a few of our favorites at each(Toro, Hamachi and Uni). So far, our planned route is Sushi Zo, then Hiko Sushi, then Sushi Karen and if we aren't too stuffed, Mori Sushi. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Agree/disagree with the places we're going to?

takoyaki

I went back to mitsuwa in torrance to get my takoyaki fix and they were gone! i guess it was a "traveling" eatery. does anyone know where these people go next? or where I can get really good takoyaki or even good japanese street food?

Dinner Near Melrose / Crescent Heights?

just got back from carlito's gardel tonight actually, my second time there. crazy but there were six of us and the skirt steak was the best! even better than the bone in rib eye i thought. get it medium rare or rare or else it will be tough... excellent garlic fries as usual, all other dishes are just ok.

Jewish Deli on Westside

Thanks for the recs! I used to always run by Factor's but never realized it was a deli! I will be trying it very soon. would you recommend anything there? Plus Junior's and Danny's (already tried Canter's; and Langers which is great but too far for me!)

A Dallas Hound needs help!

I forgot about M Grill on wilshire right in the middle of koreatown- brazilian churascurria, cheaper than fogo de chao even though it's not as grand. the atmosphere is great for dates plus theres usually no wait even on weekends

Jewish Deli on Westside

I've lived here for 10 years and still haven't really found a good deli.. anyone know of one that might compare to the ones in NY?

Chosun galbi is very close to you- nice atmosphere, great korean bbq and a lot of variety. The BEST asian fusion I've been to in LA is Orris on Sawtelle(recommended: beet and basque cheese app and foie gras with eggplant). Im thinking madang gooksoo is a little too casual for a date

New to neighborhood, Pico and La Cienega

Tuk Tuk for thai, boss sushi is ok but close by- if you're willing to travel to sawtelle, u can find some better sushi, breakfast- i like breadbar and doughboys on 3rd, for pizza try Village Pizza on larchmont; thai town has the best thai food(well of course), love the garlic fries at carlito's gardel

Japanese BBQ? Grill at table?

San sui tei in torrance has excellent meats if you're looking for yakiniku. for korean bbq, in koreatown- cham soot gol(charcoal grills) or chosun galbi(good atmosphere). oh ya, and shinsengumi shabu shabu even though thats their specialty, they have good meats to grill
