Cafe R & D is a brach of Hilstone Resturant group. Same group that owns Houston's, Bandera's and Gulfstream. So it should be consistent and good quality but nothing to go crazy over. They should have a lot of the same dishes, however Bellyworth heard R&D stands for research and development so maybe they'll try some new things. |

New Place in Montrose! Que Buenno! Bellyworth has discovered a wonderful new addition to Montrose. Three Drunken Goats located at 2256 Honolulu Ave Montrose, CA 91021 is worth checking out if you are anywhere near the area. Bellyworth ate so much he slipped into a food coma afterwards. Three Drunken Goats is a Tapas style restaurant where they serve many small plates $5-15 and reasonable wine by the glass or $20-40ish per bottle. So being a big eater Bellyworth felt it necessary to try as much as possible. Here's what Bellyworth and guest tried to take on. Round 1 (Ding Ding Ding) Round 2 (Ding Ding Ding) Round 3 (Ding Ding Ding) With several contenders yet to enter the ring Bellyworth will be scheduling a rematch. The next match up hopefully will be with the crispy striped bass with fennel, grilled octopus, flatbread w/mushrooms and three cheeses or the paella with roasted vegetables. |

Pho or Vietnamese Sandwiches on the West Side? Bellyworth also likes Le Saigon for Pho. Leave the plastic at home cause it's cash only. |

Looking for good restaurant westside/hollywood/west hollywood Bellyworth really liked BLD, was not to pricey. They have sliced meat and artisan cheeses that were really great to start with. |

Be warned fellow ChowHounds for Bellyworth has encountered an atrocity. This diabolically piece of vomit tasting beef (?) cleverly disguised itself under the name "angus burger" on the menu. This burger was so foul and repulsive to the taste that ...brace your self...... Bellyworth couldn't even finish it. Aaahhhh! Now if you've picked yourself up off the floor, the story get worst or better depending on how much of a masochist you are. So Bellyworth and his friend who ordered the same thing and felt the same way mention something to the waiter (not a server Servers provide a service, waiters wait for the tip). Here is the exchange. now Chowhounds the place you should avoid eating at............ The Ice House in Pasadena and before you say "Bellyworth why would you expect anything good to eat at a comedy club" Bellyworth didn't, Bellyworth just expect that if you charge $10 and call something an "Angus Burger" it shouldn't taste like an "Anus Bugger." So if you are heading to the Ice House for some laughs it is a good time, but if are heading there and think you can get something edible....think again. You have received fair warning. Bellyworth |

Bellyworth heard that Houston's in Pasadena is serving it. You might want to check the other locations SM, CC or MB if they are closer. |

Bellyworth loves the curry at Hurry Curry on Sawtelle, it was better than Curry House across street (which was good). |

Best 'Entertaining high-brow clients' Place in NOLA? Bellyworth loved "Murial's" on Jackson Square. BW PS- if you read the rewiews on city search (not as smart as chowhounders) you'll see 15 reviews all good, 14 of them say excellent. |

Bellyworth just returned from the Holy Land of BBQ (Texas) and is looking for some good ole Texas BBQ here in LA. A place with tender brisket, smoke sausage and succulent ribs. Also any recommenations for soul food would be apprecaited. Bellyworth has ate at Venni Mac's M & M soul food several times and it is excellent. |

Bellyworth loves "The Counter" on Olympic cause you can mix and match any toppings you want! Bellyworth's other West Side favorites are "The Arsenel" on Pico and as mentioned already "Father's Office" Also give "The Apple Pan" a try good burger and good apple pie ala mode. If Bellyworth was to eat a fast food type of burger it would be Fatburger even though its not really fastfood. |
