It's actually on Old Kingston Rd and Kingston Rd. The main big crossroads are Kingston Rd and Church St near Safari Bar and Grill. (west of Church St)

The Home Depot location is the old location and is torn down. I have not gone to the new location but there was an article in the local newspaper that mentioned they have reopened. Also on another forum, someone mentioned they went to the new establishment recently.

Yes I've tried the wings at Shagwells and they are delicious! big, juicy I believe before 6pm or 7pm on weekdays, they are 1/2 price wings. If you look at the Events page on their website there are other nights where they have wing specials.
Another place which is quite good is Lion and Dragon with their All You Can Eat Specials. I used to frequent that place quite a bit but recently they moved to 1163 Kingston Rd and I haven't had a chance to try it out. Anyone try their wings at the new place?

So Kevin Brauch of Thirsty Traveller had a beer tasting event yesterday at Fynn's of Temple Bar. It was a beer tasting dinner with 4 courses of beer and 4 courses of food for $50pp.
Anyone here on this board have the chance to go to this event? What was the food like?
I would love to go next year if they have it.
Sausage in Toronto
I second the sausages from Reithers! They are juicier but don't seem to be so oily/salty compared to some supermarket sausages. I will never go back to eating supermarket sausages now after trying the ones at Reithers.

I was at the Queen West location this past weekend. There isn't alot of seating but the coffee was good, I would say above average coffee when compared to the regular chains.

I have a craving for pot pies (chicken, beef etc). I did a search on this board and it seems that Summerhill Market has good pot pies for sale. Are there other places that sell pot pies to bake at home?
I tried the chicken and leek pot pie at Mill St Brewery today. I found the flavour was good and it was meaty, however I prefer a more flaky crust. There were parts of the crust that were quite dense. What restaurants in GTA serve a tasty pot pie with a flaky crust?

Their special all-you-can-eat wings/ribs is on all the time. The portions are so big that it's even hard to finish the first round.

Yes I would have to agree with you oishiBear. I used to think Duff wings were good until I went to the Buffalo Wings Fest last month (hey! maybe I saw you there?!).
Duff's wings are good when compared to the regular chain places in Toronto or if you like 'vinegar' wings. However Duff's seems to have gone downhill? I have friends who have tried it years ago and raved about it but recently went back and don't think it's the same.
I have tried many wing places and I also compare the wings plain without the sauce first and then again with the sauce (in my case, I compare honey garlic at the various restaurants)
I recently tried the wings at Lion and the Dragon Pub and it's a definite must try for the wing connoisseur! Their wings are big, hot, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside... and they have a special all-you-can-eat wings/ribs.
