Great meal at Rendezvous
you are talking about my favorite restaurant. If I could afford it. I'd eat there every night.
Steve Johnson.owner/chef is so personable. I see him every Monday, in season , at out local farmers' market. In summer he grows his herbs on the roof. Recently, The NY Times did a feature story about him, showing him on his boat in Westport where he catches seafood for his restaurant. He is one of the few great local chefs who is really hands on and always
there for his customers and he doesn't seek publicity..
Now you know what to give me for christmas :)

It's always good and it has the most attractive out door dining. If it's cool, there are heater lights and offer lap blankets.
Stephanie's taking over Garden of Eden spot
well, if Stephanie is taking over that spot. she'd better improve her food. The fireplace, patio,
tourists keep her going. I hope the Southend diners don't put up with her medicore food.
La Voile
They are now open for lunch. We had the Provençal salad and a bottle of Rosé as we sat outside. There were a few tables that had childen, well behaved, seated and one in a carriage

I'd like to know too. Rachael Ray has ruined the name for me.
Petit Robert this past weekend
I prefer the South End branch where the tables aren't so close together and that the waitor doesn't bump into yourc, and it's delightful dining outside in summer.

Le Pamplet was closed when I was there but I loved Chez Denise and it's like acommunal table. I was tucked between two French couples and we all had a long conversation

Garden in the cellar-Cambridge
After the Harvard yard farmers'market we stopped for lunch. We had crab cakes and a chevre salad. This week's Phoenix gives their dinners a wonderful review. Can't wait to return. It's run by the son of the farmer of Gilson farms who sells his herbs at many of the farmers'markets.
60th Birthday Dinner in Cambridge
You must be there at 5:30 opening to get a table outside at Oleana. I'm adding Upstairs at the Square, known as Upstairs at the Pudding in its former location.
