Kauai Musts

I noticed that there were a few places on Kauai that have somehow not been mentioned, so let me take the time to fill you in on the real treats the island has to offer.

1. Mermaids in Kappa has AMAZING wraps and gourmet food served on paper plates. Its casual and the food is fresh including the fish which they use in a Ahi Nori wrap which is probably the best thing on the menu (seared fresh ahi, nori, wasabi sauce, cucumbers, rice, and avo, if in season, all wrapped in a spinach tortilla). Do not pass this place by!!!

2. Moloaa Sunrise Fruitstand in between kappa and kilauea has delicious thick smoothies. Try the Taste of Hawaii smoothie which consists of fresh fruit, yogurt, dates, macadamia nuts, coconut and juice. There sandwhiches are ok but the smoothies or fesh squeezed juices are not to be missed.

3. Kintaro's in Kappa has the best sushi on the island hands down. Try the Hanalei roll or superdup. Get there early as the wait can be as long as one hour.

4. The fish market in Kilauea has great food for lunch. Big portions and tasty fresh fish make this another must. Definitely check it out.

LA's BEST desserts????

I'm looking for some of the most decadent desserts found in restaurants in LA. If anyone has had a dessert that was really unusual or just plain amazing, please let me know what it is and what restaurant had it.

A dish unique to LA?

I'm trying to find a dish that is extremely popular to only LA. Is there something that you can really only find in LA? If you had to choose, what dish would represent all of LA? Any thoughts would be extremely helpful.

Breakfast in SD

No question in my mind- Hash House A GO GO in Hillcrest. Huge portions, really creative, and amazing drinks.

Dinner in downtown San Diego?

I'm going to be in downtown San Diego this weekend and was looking for a restaurant that has good food and a relaxed atmosphere but nothing too stuffy. I'll be with a group of extremely loud girls so I was looking for something fun and loud WITH great food. Any suggestions?
