Pasadena area - lunch date

Looking for recommendations for a late (2pm) lunch date place in the Pasadena area. We will probably have a drink or two, most likely wine, and a couple apps, salads, small plates. Atmosphere over food, but definitely like good food too. Somewhere where we can sit outside and enjoy this weather would also be nice.

Thanks.

Quiet place for a drink between Bev. Hills and Santa Monica

Anyone know how busy Bar Toscana would be around 6:30 or 7pm on a Thursday night?

Le Pain Quotidien in BH. It was quiet, given the time of day we went. We were pretty much the only one's there, except maybe one or two other tables.

Thanks all. Our plans changed and we ended up meeting for coffee. But there's another date this week, and I'll be checking out Bar Toscana after all the recommendations. Will let you know my impression.

Looking for a nice, semi-quiet (not dead!) place to meet for a drink between Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Somewhere that would be good for a first meet-up.

Thanks.

Sunday Brunch to Celebrate Anniversary - Belvedere, Casa del Mar, Geoffrey's, or ???

Looking for a special occasion Sunday brunch for this weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Given that the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend, I was considering something along the coast. Some places I was considering:

- The Belvedere at the Peninsula (I know it's not along the coast, but it is upscale and appears to be nice... this would be a last choice)

- Casa del Mar hotel in Santa Monica

- Geoffrey's in Malibu

We will have our 3 month old with us (in a stroller), but he'll most likely sleep the entire time.

Originally we wanted to do an upscale buffet brunch and had considered the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey, but I'm not sure if the buffet is on par with what it was a few year's back. Does anyone know?

Additional recommendations would also be considered...

Solo-dining and/or take-out, DC area

I'll be at the ES on 22nd.

Solo-dining and/or take-out, DC area

I'll be staying at the Embassy Suites Washington DC on a Sunday-Friday and need dinner recommendations for nearby places to dine solo or pick up take-out. Breakfast and lunch already covered by the conference I am attending.

Prefer healthy options (fish, grilled chicken), although ethnic recommendations (including Italian, Chinese, Japanese/Sushi, Thai, Indian) are welcome. I will also have a car, although that may be more of a hindrance than a help.

TIA.
