Looking for Thai/ and Chinese restaurants near wilton, Ct

Thai Pearl in Ridgefield is really good, with an extensive menu which includes a very good explaination of different Thai regional cuisines s... giving examples from the menu which fit within each category. Ambience is pleasant. Service is efficient and classicly Thai friendly.. You can ask to eat quickly or you can choose to take all the time you want to enjoy without anyone prompting you to leave. Quality of food is excellent. Prices are reasonable. Added bonus is BYOB which makes this restaurant a very good value proposition. Location is partially hidden from the road... you will find it in the group of shops next to Southwest Cafe.

Thai Spice is located on Main Street in Norwalk, just south of the Merrtitt Parkway, in a srip mall which is somewhat below street level. Menu is not as extensive as Thai Pearl. Austere (i.e., almost no) ambience. Quality and presentation of food is very good. Service is good. Thai Spice is licensed and has a smallish selection of wines and beers, but they also allow BYOB with a very reasonable corkage fee.

Basso Cafe in Norwalk

My wife and I have been at Basso three times in the last six months, each time accompanied by one or two additional couples. Although not consciously setting out to do so, we have as a result de facto tasted our way through almost every dish on the menu. On all three occasions all of us at the table found the food to be very good or excellent. Service has also been very good....so I surmise that a full year of experience has resulted in marked improvement. Yes, prices are on the high side, although not outrageously so. However, this has in our experience been more than offset by the BYOB savings. 4 1/2 stars. . .

Schoolhouse at Cannondale is truly in a class by itself.

The quality and presentation of food at Luca can often, but not always, rise to the occasion... but as noted by others, staff can have an "attitude" if they feel that you are not ordering a sufficiently high priced meal... which really should not be a problem with the high price points both for food and for wine.

Bon Appetit is very much worth multiple visits if you like authentic French bistro food served in a bistro setting. A little bit hard to find, Bon Appetit is located in a hole in the wall in the Stop and Shop mall, Seating is limited and almost all give a full view of the hectice activity and animated French conversation in the kitchen area. True French "comfort food"... with a daily changing specials chalk board menu as well as a regular menu. BYOB with a reasonable corkage fee. (Wine license is in the offing, but the owneres have informed all of their patrons that BYOB will remain as an option even when they get their licence.) Very good food at a very good value and always with friendly, attentive service.
