Flemings or Roy's

There's also a Flemings in WH not far from the Roy's there. Roy's is for fish. Fleming's is for steak. Roy's is cheaper. Roy's also has happy hour deals.

Cassels---Forget About It!

Hell, in the late 70s, I could get a very good cheese burger to go there for $1.65.

Where did The Clay Pit go?

Is this the same Clay Pit that used to be in the Chapman Park Market on 6th?

Cassels Hamburgers Opening!

Depending on your taste, it was either no big whoop or pretty damn good. First, you could get an unlimited amount (or whatever you could pile on your tray). Second, it had a horse radishy kick to it.

Cassels Hamburgers Opening!

It's been a long time, but I believe the Bounty used to validate or partially validate parking at a nearby lot.

TonyC's Annual 20 Best Chinese Not in the SGV

None that I can see. You can pick one in 90024, 90025 or 90064 and drop by there before heading into the valley and eventually up the coast on the 101.

Why does Sushi Kimagure not get much love here?

Wow, you live on an island!
Ike is great. But it's expensive, more I think than when he was in Hollywood. And you have to make a reservation. But, yes, great sushi.

Was there any left over to take home? If so, how did it fare on reheating later?

Best Lobster Roll in LA?

I like Lobsta Truck's tees ("best tail in town") better than their rolls. Not as flavorful as I'd hoped).

Champagne Report, 2014

Mission has specials every week, generally one bubbly. I would particularly watch their ads/site as New Year's approaches. Not a special, but they have Billecart Salmon for $55. They have Taittinger La Francaise for $35. Etc. And from the site, I see they have Moet Imperial Brut for $37.95. Perhaps you were looking at a more exotic Imperial?

Champagne Report, 2014

Nice research. You might also look into Mission Wines & Spirits. The way BevMo makes sense is if they have what you want, you are willing to buy several bottles and they have one of their $15 or $20 off on a $100 purchase coupons going. They do this a couple of times per year for Club Members. For champagne brands that don't run up big advertising budgets, there's WineExpo in West LA. And, of course, the poor man's champagne: prosecco.

Legendary, universally praised Lunasia opening Dim Sum House in Pasadena

"There is no alcohol license currently planned for the 4000-square foot space, but it won't matter when the nice little old ladies of Pasadena sit down at Lunasia Dim Sum House for Christmas dinner."

There are many more young ladies in that area on weekends. Get the license!
