great place for a sunday night
i'm visiiting manhattan for a couple days in mid may but have one night avail to dine with my wife. Any suggestions of something fantastic? (no sushi, no indian) We are staying at the Soho Grand.
Something cozy, fun, feels more like a local gem than rather, something over the top hyped like Waverly Inn etc.

The Lobster, in Santa Monica... hardly deep fried, lots of fresh crab, superb.
