Savannah - Need a great restaurant for lunch
The best restaurants in Savannah are either open only for dinner or do not have outdoor space. For a good selection of casual lunches, head to city market in downtown savannah. Pedestrian area lined with restaurants, most with covered outdoor seating. Options include OK but not great tapas, decent mid-level steakhouse, good pizza place. other places as well. enjoy

Need last minute replacement for closed Vegas restaurant
Going to Vegas on Saturday and my son wanted to take me to Sapporo's. He liked the atmosphere, drinks, sliders and pan asian cuisine. He now says that it has closed suddenly. Any recs for a replacement? Looking for festive, hip place in West Vegas. Will take cuisine similar to Sapporo's but open to other ideas. Have already been to Agave and Firefly (I know, that's not west vegas) Thanks!

Upscale is good too. Good italian hot subs a plus. Help me cut through the mass of pedestrian eating places down there! Will travel for the right place. Thanks.

Augusta Georgia
Hot Foods by Calvin is no longer in existence. It was shut down about one year ago, when Calvin got into some legal troubles. The place for great, great southern food now is "The Chef's House" on Walton Way. It is between 15th street and 'the Hill" neighborhood. It is in a pink house in between a paint store and a gas station. Unbelievable fried chicken, greens, and other southern good things. Very warming and welcoming.

Little Owl Musings
Went early to Little Owl last night for the first time and snagged a table. I had the pork chop (of course) and my wife had the chicken. Both were spectacular. Flavor of both meats kept intensifying and we chewed them - a very rare thing indeed. I might of liked the chicken even more than the pork chop. Here's my question: Both pork chop and chicken very simply prepared. Do people think that phenomenal flavor of these dishes is due to some kind of prep that is not immediately obvious or are they just sourcing some incredible meat?

Recs for next Saturday in West Village or Soho
Augusta Chow and wife are coming to Perry street for two weeks. Having reunion dinner next Saturday with old college friends. Looking for a place with great food and atmosphere that we can walk to or take short cab ride. Most of the obvious suspects are of course already booked solid. Help! For this dinner, american, new american, bistro would all be great. Thanks.
