Best meal I ever ate:
A small trattoria in Rimini, Italy. A bean soup and just made tortillas somewhere on the road in Baja California, Mexico.What ever I may cook for my husband because he moans with pleasure.
My current drink of choice:
Water and Red Hook ESB...(only because it is the only decent beer we can get conveniently!)
I really wish I could:
Have a small cafe/pub and turn people on to really good,thoughtfully prepared food.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Porchetta for a crowd, Risotto for a few.
My favorite comfort food:
Corn Chowder,August tomatoes sliced, drizzled with a "green"olive oil,red wine vinegar, add basil and a crumbly cheese(gorgonzola, chevre,sheeps feta etc.) sprinkled with sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

I have hundreds....The Gold Cookbook because I read it under the covers with a flashlight as a preteen, Julia Child because I attemted to cook it from cover to cover at 16 yrs. old. ...Molto Italiano and right now, Alfred Portale's "Simple Pleasures"
