It has been two months since we had dinner there and we still talk about what a mess it was that evening... |

4 days in Chicago...with teens We are headed to Chicago for President's Day weekend with our 2 daughters, 11 &15. I have looked at some of the threads in regard to eating out with children/teens & I am not overly thrilled with the options that were shared. While they are fairly adventurous eaters they tend to lean more toward simple, well done meals. We love a good breakfast, gastro pubs-(that have a great beer selection for mom & dad), ramen, BBQ, a decent pizza and for sure some Latin food. Really would like to stay away from chain restaurants. We are staying near downtown/lakefront area but are planning on seeing some sights Field Museum, Millenium Park, etc. so we are open to a few more options! Thanks! |

Where are the Most Delicious Carrot Cakes in Minneapolis? Wilde Roast Cafe is very good. |

The Blvd near Ridgedale in Minnetonka off of 394 has a room that would work for your group-it's has decent food and reasonable prices. |

Where is the lamb chop!?! I've been missing this! Must try it this weekend. |

My spouse and I are headed to LV at the end of Sept. I have been looking at the boards and I see quite a bit on steakhouses but not much in the way of fish/seafood. I have looked at American Fish and was wondering if that was good place to start or is there something out there that I might be overlooking!?! Also would love some input on Central/South American places near The Strip! Thanks! |

I'm going to be honest here in regard to decent restaurants in Chaska. The pickings are slim. Real slim. Chaska My Love has good authentic Mexican street food. The problem with CML is they are not consistently open. That's hard to deal with if you are going for lunch. Call ahead. Tommy's Malt Shop is fine if you want a malt. If you think you are going to get a great burger- you are not. They are small and over-cooked. Cuzzy's Brickhouse is a Champp's knock-off-it's okay. Lola's in Waconia is over-priced for so-so food. It's a fun place in the summer and in a pinch it's okay. Terra Waconia is good and local-wine list is nice as well. Also in Waconia is Mocha Monkey-nice soups, sandwiches and gelato. Na's Thai Cafe in Chanhassen is really good. If you want a good burger or good bar food I would go to Floyd's or the Vic House Bar and Grill in Victoria. So as far as Chaska goes there isn't much-maybe with the two new restaurants going in downtown it will perk up. Right now? Not so much. |

The new Bluepoint in Bloomington is very nice. It's not overly noisy, it has some modern touches but felt welcoming despite being in a large building on 494. I have been there twice in the past few weeks and the food was very good. |

Haute Dish. We enjoyed it last week. It isn't the classic poutine but very tasty. |

the food is very good at Mi Casa-there isn't a dish that we haven not liked! |

dinkytown dining with kids [MSP] We are headed to dinkytown tomorrow night for a game and want to take the kids somewhere fun and tasty. Any suggestions. You can leave out the Big 10 as the spouse doesn't care for their food. It's been years since I've been down there to eat! |

I was there less then a month ago and my dinner was outstanding. I ordered the halibut and my spouse ordered the bison. The chef does most of his cooking with local ingredients and I'm always interested in that as a dining option. |

Food that makes you particularly sad? watching people salt food without tasting it has always bugged me. Food that makes me sad is my children's hot lunch at school. Ick. |

water chestnuts, peaches and breakfast sausage. Must be a texture issue. |
