Carrot cake slice like the one from The Cheescake Factory
I am not looking for a whole cake, simply a moist delicious slice filled with fresh grated carrots, pineapples, walnuts, depth and wetness a la my favorite slice from this cheesecake-heavy chain. Amy's is way too dry and crumbly as is the case with Magnolia's slice. Any suggestions? Thanks

What a wonderful West Village neighborhood gem. Spoken word and live music was taking place up front, while wonderful comfort food was served in a cozy and warm setting in the back. I'm still savoring the flavor of my shortribs, the gratis fried plantain chips and the perfect rum punch to wash it down with. But don't drink too much...to avoid the restroom, which is completely incongruous in this otherwise charming restaurant.
hardest reservations to get?
Waverly Inn doesn't have a phone - that is part of the whole mystique. If you don't know someone, you go to the restaurant itself and the maitre'd will make you a reservation (up to 3 days in advance).
