Fra' Mani Polenta at Costco!?

Not sure if you've had a chance to taste it or not but I heard that the Costco's on the East Coast will be carrying Fra' Mani's new Organic Polenta.

I hear it's gonna be in the North East from Mass. south to Virginia. If anyone has tasted this, please post your comments. I'm waiting for it to come out on the West Coast being that Fra' Mani is from Berkeley!

PAKISTANI IN CHATSWORTH!!!

Wow - amazing!! The Naan is really delicious. I too had the Karashi Gosht (lamb stew) which is soo tasty and a side of rice and a small raita. My problem is that this isn't a place for 1. My lunch cost me nearly $20 (17.25) - I think it would help a lot to have a smaller portioned LUNCH menu available. Especially for the stews which sit ready - a little stew, some rice, a piece of naan for say 11.50 could be reasonable...

L:A: Chinese for Christmas Eve - Downtonw/Hollywood areas...

We're looking for a Chinese restaurant open Christmas Eve for dinner. We'd like to create a set menu for about $40 per person and have a big Christmas Eve feast.

Food is first
Location is second

People will be coming out from the SFV, Santa Monica and West Hollywood - Monterey Park me be a stretch for some.

Any recommendations?

HELP - been offered a free dinner at fanciest, most impressive place of my choice

I also vote for Spago - get the tasting menus with wine and the $$$ will add up quickly...

Jewish Christmas - SG Valley Recs Needed

This is great - I'm looking for the same thing but this year will be our FIRST traditional Jewish Christmas Eve and we are looking for chinese food.

We're from the SFV and are willing to drive to downtown but if everyone recommends SGV, I can try to convince the group.

According to Fat Guy's new book - it's best to set up a dinner like this in person a few days ahead. What do you think about that?

Also, can anyone recommend some good chinese places that can accomodate a group of 8-16 on Christmas Eve for a banquet style dinner for about $30 per person?

Thanks for the help!

Master List

Does anyone have, keep or know where I can find an up-to-date list of the really happening places in LA right now?

I'm looking for the top 50 or so restaurants with a nice 'wines by the glass' list. I've got some clients who will be here a couple of weekends a month and they like to party...

Any help would be appreciated - I tried opentable.com but you can't really search by what's hot or not (unless there is a way??).

Thanks!

Taking the elevator down to Molly's isn't really what I'm looking for unless it fall into the search criteria. Does it?

Maybe something a bit more 'worldly'?
