my thing is that if I am gonna make a roast chicken i would just as soon buy a rotteseriee one from the store. In my neighborhood at least they cost about the same. If I was gonna make that though since I am using kosher chickens, which have been treated with kosher salt, should leave out the kosher salt in the recipie?

why is that better than a George Forman? I kind of proud of this, I am 43 years old it was time I made a scrambled egg

i use the tofuky sauseges some times I need to make a trader joe run soon. Truth is for pasta their is nothing he likes better than Foulds Mac and cheese from the box with an extra piece of American cheese. The best thing i make is from the year of slow cooking cookbook http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2011/01/peperoncini-beef-sandwiches-slow-cooker.html. my son annoyed my wife, who is a gormet cook, by calling this the best thing he ever ate

what i actually like to do is i make the pre cut hashbrowns in oil and i dump a whole bunch of Badia brand Sason tropical and some cyanne pepper on it. For burgers i honestly do not use egg or bread crumbs just meat, onion and garlic powder.

We do burgers every couple weeks. I am definitely gonna try Manwhich one of these days. Some doctor guy on TV said giving your kid a hot dog is worse then giving him a cigarette so my wife only lets me make hod dogs once a month

i might try the burritios . their is a non diary sour cream we use which is actually very good (the non dairy cheese i would skip)

Due to a work schedule change, I find myself being responsible for dinner every night for my 8 year old son, my wife and my self. I have never cooked in my life but have slowly figured out a few simple things to make like eggs, George Foreman chicken cutlets marinated in Italian dressing and a couple croak pot dishes I got from the year of slow cooking site. I am looking for a few more ideas, my criteria is no more then five minutes of hands on prep and more then three pots to wash (and yes I count a cutting board as one of the three). Also I keep kosher so I can not use shellfish, pork or recipies that require both milk and meat (fish and milk is ok and eggs can be used with either milk or meat). I appreciate any ideas you might have.

Hot Kiddish Club Food Restaurants
why not have it catered in someones house? You could call Mieisers or any of the Brooklyn caterers and they could set up steam tables. The other alternative is to find a place with a party room I do not know too many places in Brooklyn that do.
Kosher Frozen Biscuits
Does anyone know of a brand of frozen biscuits that are kosher and preferably pareeve?
Chalev Yisroel Boxed Mac N' cheese
I think I have seem it on the shelves at Gormet Glatt recently. As a father with limited cooking skills who has to make dinner, I can assure you that their are few foods that make a seven year old happy. I will even share with you my secret recipe which is to add an additional piece of American Cheese besides they shinny orange goodness that is in the envelope.
Kosher catering hall/shul for Bar Mitzvah in Brooklyn
I used Meisner's for my wedding a few years back. They did a great job and Tuvia was a pleasure to deal with.
Where has all the Ba-Tampte Deli Mustard gone?

Chow-Friendly Yeshiva?
While food should not be the sole reason to choose a yeshiva, it is worth looking at. Many years ago I went to a yeshiva in Israel that had bad food and accommodations and it was in a remote area without access to resturaunts. While I had a great experience, me and many of my classmates were sick a great deal of the time which definitely cut into our learning. I just read a biography of the Satmer Rebbe, ZTL. He was insistent that the food in his yeshivas be of good quality and that their should be more then enough, because he felt in our generation the students could not learn without that.
Palace Royal: NE Philadelphia
The Keystone K was founded about 10 years ago and is the mainstream hasgacha in Philly. It ended many years of insane infighting among rabbinate. At one point i think Philly had 6 kosher restaurants under five different hashgachot.
Sacred Chow
i assume it refers to bishul akum. The Beis Yosef requires that a Jew take an active part in the cooking process while for the Rema starting a fire is enough.
Mexican Restaurant in Chicago
I would be careful. The stereotype of the frum community of Chicago is that they do not spend nearly as much on eating out as New Yorkers do. I have not been to Chicago in several years but the churn rate of kosher restaurants s there seems to be very high and the successful ones tend to be places like Ken's which is a sort if simple place.. Also you would need to check if the COR gives hasgacha to a restaurant owned by a non jew: The Five towns Vaad for example will not give without a Frum partner.
Looking for a "Man's" meat restaurant in Flatbush, Boro Park or Willamsburg
real men in your situation have wife come out to car every five minutes with plates from the smorg while they watch the game on there phone
Pittsburgh
Lot of cheap beer not too far from downtown in Oakland near the Universities. Other than that not much...
Double wrapping and the hapless kosher guest
I have always found it easier in these situations to either ask for a fruit plate (if you will eat that) or just drink. A lot of times the person who invited me is insistent and goes to real trouble to get you food so you have to eat it to be polite, but other than that I try to just say no.
Passover programs 2011
am assuming you live in NYC try the one in Hershey and the one in Princeton if you find any good deals let me know
Easy Recipes
These are good ideas I am gonna try salmon next week. Thinking about it, rotesierie chicken is cheap enough (I think one place has a whole chicken $8.99 with a side) that It doesn't make sense to cook any kind of easy whole chicken recipe
