Anyone know where I can get New Years challah for Friday night? Do I have to order ahead of time?
And if you know the answer to that, you might know where I can get yartzeit candles. I'm new to the area.

Intimate anniversary dinner
Inn of the Second Ray would be a bit pricey. When I say "low-budget," I don't mean a $3 burrito, just to say we prefer homey ethnic cuisince to your typical fancy anniversary meal. To us, price of the meal doesn't equate value of our years together, you know what I mean?
As for Los Balcones, it sounds great, but I've never had a lot of luck with vegetarian options at Peruvian restaurants. . . OK for me b/c I eat fish, but not for my husband.

We're looking for an intimate restaurant for our 5th anniversary dinner. We prefer low-budget ethnic, we're into being adventurous! Somewhere in the SFV, central LA, or Glendale/Pasadena. Oh, and it should be vegetarian-friendly.
