Looseleaf Tea

Wow, thanks so much everyone. I'll have to check these out. I frequent hong kong market regularly, and although they have a whole aisle of tea, its a lot of repeats of the same types of teas.

Looseleaf Tea

I'm looking for a place to buy good looseleaf tea in town. I looked online, and apparently there used to be a tea store called Indonique, but it's definitely closed down now. Suggestions?

Jackson restaurant. Who has been?

I'd love to know as well. I live right down the street. It better be good, because based on the prices I saw on the menu, I would need to have my socks blown off to pay that much for dinner. There's also another coffee/breakfast place that just opened next to it, has anyone been there? And on the other side of Jackson is another place - looks like an old fashioned ice cream parlor - that is about to open.

In search of green chiles

My boyfriend grew up in NM and said that he did see canned Hatch green chile at Whole Foods. It's not super fresh, but since it's not the season, it might be the best you can get.

"china kitchen" on Carrollton

I just had their broccoli with chicken. Gigantic portion, I don't think I even had half. Much better than 5 Happiness, I hate that place. The egg roll was great, as was the fried rice and I don't even like fried rice. I was a little thrown by 2 things: one, i'm used to broccoli with chicken being in a brown sauce, and this was a white sauce. Two, they didn't have any of the standard things like orange chicken or general tso chicken. And those are my favorites (i can't resist breaded, fried, spicy/sweet sticky goodness). So that would be the only negative thing I have to say about it. I'll probably go back and sit in the restaurant so I actually have a chance to look at the menu.

the elusive $15 entree

I second Mona's or Cafe Lebanon. Also Fresco Cafe is pretty decent and cheap.

"china kitchen" on Carrollton

There is a shady-looking little Chinese restaurant on S. Carrollton near Mikimoto. It's always packed but I've never heard anything about this place. Has anyone been there? Is it cash only? Thanks!

Hot Wings??

Please correct me if there's already been a thread about this. I searched but didn't really find anything. Can I get some decent wings around here other than that awful WoW chain? I've got a hankering for some wings and beer. Thanks in advance!

Where to buy Sushi-making stuff in Dallas/Plano Texas

The Hong Kong Market in Garland is a HUGE asian supermarket. They have multiple kinds of seaweed sheets, and live fish that they will butcher and cut for you any way you like (but honestly not sure how reliable it is with the fish). They should also have bamboo mats.

Wedding in Dallas!

Hi, I'm trying to plan a wedding in the Dallas metroplex and we'd really like a place where an outside ceremony could be held, then the reception at a restaurant. Does anyone know of any nice places? Thanks!

Non-Dairy Pizza?

I am lactose intolerant and dying to find a pizza place that makes pizza with fake cheese or soy cheese. By chance, do any of the chain pizza places make their pizza with fake cheese? Or is there anywhere in the Dallas area that I could find non-dairy pizza? Thanks for your help!

Do you know how long of a bus ride it is to Somerville from downtown Boston?

best thai in dallas?

Royal Thai is consistently fantastic, although waits can be long. Chow Thai in Addison is also great, and the ambiance is nice and quiet. Never had to wait to be seated there.

Portuguese Market

I am about to visit Boston and I would really like to find a store that sells Portuguese food, especially sweet bread, salted cod, chorizo, and fava beans!!!! I live in Texas, so I have no way to get those things unless I have them shipped, which is super expensive. It would also be helpful if I could reach the store by subway or trolley since I won't have a car. Thanks!
