The Hungry Cat - The Pub Burger, is mind blowingly good
Victor's Deli - Makes a pretty good Reuben, and I used to get turkey sandwiches with lettuce, avacado and italian dressing that were fantastic, and so much meat you could take half home and have a huge sandwich the next day.
Dos Arbolitos - The Pit BBQ Torta is pretty good, though probably not in the top 5, but I am not thinking of anyplace else right now.

This has nothing to do with the old Go Go Cafe in San Gabriel does it? Used to be in the plaza with Ranch 99 and the big Sam Woo.

I can't believe I hadn't had a Pug Burger at the hungry cat until last year. Wow, that was a delicious burger. Blew Father's Office out fo the water for me!

How are the onion pancakes?

Wen there today not realizing it was closed! Miss those onion pancakes and the cucumber! Been to Din Tai Fung, but didn't like it as well. What is a good alternative to Dumpling House? They were one of my favorites?!?!??!?!

Brent's corned beef rueben is my favorite sandwich in LA bar none.

I was really unimpressed with the LA bourbon after going to the Las Vegas one, so I don't recommend that. Plus it iasi loud, and was shoot when I was there.

My favorite is the Hungry Cat in Hollywood.

Finally Tried Hiro's and enjoyed it, though I am allergic to tomatoes, so the tomatoe salad on the sandwich is not my favorite (even if it tastes good), but the roast beef was fantastic as was the bread.

The BBQ is fantastic, but I didn't really look too deeply into the rest of the food on the menu, though it looked good. I plan on going back for the BBQ a 3rd time, so...

I always like the sweet corn ones, which are the first I try. Also tried some desert ones.

This place is not the best, in fact id doesn't touch the Tamale Maiden at the Hollywood Farmer's Market, but for convenience and location it is worth checking out.

Tried Weilers and it had great service, but I felt the Reuben couldn't touch the one at Brents.

Caruso's Cucina Italiana on Roscoe has some amazing BBQ. Damn it was tasty, and I love their BBQ sauce.

And we are regulars are Brent's. Damn their Corned Beef Reuben is amazing!

Was recommended Hiro Sandwiches, but have not gone since it is not open on Sundays (when my wife and I usually go out).

Damn I love their flavor, and it has hints of Sichuan Peppercorns. Yummy!

I always like the Hollywood for the whole chickens. So moist and delicious, but they only take Cash.

How about Mon Land Hot Pot on Bencamp Street. Not as good as Mon Land, but pretty tasty.

Yes, I moved to North Hills recently, and have to say I think Brent's has the best Reuben in LA. I prefer corned beef to Pastrami, though I do love their Black Pastrami Reuben, and their corned beef Reuben I find to be easily the best in the city. And the service is awesome. Sure you have to wait or a table, but the waitresses are so friendly and my ice tea gets constantly refilled.

I have loved Zankou for years, especially the Hollywood location. Sure it has gotten a bit more expensive, but to me the quality has been the same since I have been going there, since 1996 or so.

I love to get a whole chicken and a falafel plate and extra pickles, and make sandwiches with all the ingredients, slathering on the garlic, tahini and hummus. I have also found the chickens to be moist and succulent, and have always enjoyed the experience greatly.

Also used to go to the Burbank one, which I didn't like as well, but found it excellent for a decent, though not cheap lunch. I did find the chicken a bit more dry in Burbank, but still found with the addition of the garlic sauce that it made for tasty lunches.

I recently had Brent's as well, and was blown away.

I usually like Corned beef Rebuen's, but tried the Black Pastrami and it was amazing, and my wife had the corned beef. I think I would have the corned beef again next time, but they both wee amazing. I can easily say they are the best I have had in LA.

And the service was fantastic as well. It could be dangerous living near Brent's, it is too good!!

I have to say I did really enjoy A&W's seafood and vegetable dishes. The Dim Sum was only good if you really didn't want to drive and get good Dim Sum, but the seafood was pretty damn good.
