I need help finding a caterer

I'm getting married and I'm starting to plan my wedding reception! Instead of a sit down wedding reception, I'm opting for something less traditional. We're having a live band (hopefully a big band that can play swing, salsa, a little bit of funk .... dancing! we love dancing!), cocktails, passed and stationed heavy hors d'oeuvre. Great food and music is important to us. A summer evening wedding reception that's fun, relaxed, casual, spontaneous, adventurous, dancing, laughing, just a big party! So we're on a search for the right caterer. If you could help us out that would be great. I've been looking at a few, but I would love to hear your review. Below are a few that I've heard are good. You tell me what you think. How was the food? Are the prices reasonable? What about the services? Are they open minded but not too scary? Please add your suggestions as well. Oh...and I know this is food related... but if you know of any good bands - bring it on!

Kitchen for Exploring Food (top choice)
Good Gracious Events (second top choice)
Nourish Kitchen
Wolfgang Puck Catering
Elements Kitchen

Tell me more!

Getting Maui-ed

As of lately, my fiance and I are really considering of moving our destination wedding from Palm Springs to Maui, Hawaii. Thank you everyone who have been so great at responding my earlier post. I love Hawaii, but I have never been to Maui. I know this cuts down our guest list... and we're ok with that because we're planning a party when we come back! Any suggestions on places to have our reception? I was thinking of Spago at the Four Seasons. If you have been there, what do you think of the place? If you have a better suggestion please do spill the beans. Here is some info that I think could help you

We're having it in the Spring of 2009
Guest: 50-80
Budget: 60-100 / per person
Need to have an area for dancing. We love love dancing!
Easy to get to.
Lots of parking spaces.
Great views of the sunset.
You can suggest a restaurant, hotel, estate or a catering company.

Thank you sooooo much! I can't wait to hear your suggestions!!!

Wedding in Palm Springs? [moved from LA board]

Yeah, I actually contacted The Parker because it looks like a really cool place. But their package was way over my budget. But maybe I should negotiate something with them to lower the price. But thanks for the tip!

Wedding in Palm Springs? [moved from LA board]

I'm not from Palm Springs, but I'm planning to have a destination wedding in Palm Springs. However, I'm having a hard time trying to find a reception spot or even an amazing cater. Why cater? One of our options is having it at a private estate ( almost like the Elford House) Hopefully there are some people that can help me out. Here is so more info that can probably help you to help me :)

I would love an area that has a a body of water, ie: pool, water fountain.
Great views of the sunset.

I know this a little specific, so it doesn't have to include everything. Haha, but I would love for it to include everything. I guess that's it. I can't wait to see your suggestions!!!
