Quality Indian in MSP
I've also been to Great India a few times, and it has been excellent. I have yet to be disappointed in anything there, and the same goes for everyone I've dined with there, including a couple people who have had authentic Indian grub. Definitely give it a shot.

I am an unagi fanatic. Not to say that I don't love tuna, salmon, uni, etc. Eel is my absolute favorite, though.
All-time best sodas
I'll second Vernor's as being the best ginger soda that's widely distributed. It's actually my favorite, period, but there are so many out there I have yet to try...
As for root beer, there's a local brewery called Killebrew's (yep, Harmon K's family) that makes a fantastic, spicy root beer. My roommate and I sort of compared it to root beer with chai spices mixed in. Very nutmeggy, and absolutely fabulous.
One soda I miss is OK Cola. I'm pretty sure that we were a test market for it and that it never got distributed across the country. Anybody else know it? It was another spicy kind of drink, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg in what I think was a cherry-colaesque type base, but I'm not sure. It was hard to tell. All I knew was that it was good, heh.
