Thanks guys. I went with Blue Hill after hearing some good things about it. very excited about the event. I did consider MAS and a number of other places, but I think I made the right decision. Will update with how it went in a little while....

I'm planning a private dinner event and trying to decide between Market Table or Blue Hill. I would love to hear some thoughts on this since I'm really stuck between the two. Which would you guys recommend and which has the better food?

PhD Graduation Dinner

Hello all:

I am FINALLY graduating with my PhD in May. Both my and my husband's family is coming for the event and I am looking for a nice place to hold dinner that night. Our families really love to eat and are open to just about anything. Private dining room isn't necessary, but somewhere where we won't be shushed would be nice, and it's a good sized party of 10. I already have dinner reservations at Craft, but have eaten there before and am interested in trying something new. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Some guidelines:
- Party of 10 adults (minimum. if more is needed for a private party, that can easily be done)
- Around $100 pp for food
- Up for anything except sushi or Italian. (Sushi bc the mother-in-law won't eat it, Italian bc my dad's dear friend owns an Italian restaurant and would be greatly offended)
- Anywhere in Manhattan, although we're staying in SoHo.

Also, just another idea, but has anyone done the private dining at WD-50? Is that a good idea?

Best Restaurants in Rehoboth/Bethany Beach?

My family is spending a long weekend at Bethany Beach at end of the month to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday, but none of us have ever been to the area. We'll want to take him out to a nice dinner on Friday. We're 6 adults with no picky eaters....but all love good food so I'm looking for the favorites and best of the beaches! Any suggestions? Chowhound search gave me info on Lupo Di Mare, is that the best restaurant in Rehoboth or Bethany? Any other good places to keep in mind?

Also, he expressed interest in a crab-feast for Saturday. Heard about Mickey's Crabhouse and Blue Crab in Bethany...which is better? Any other good ones? OR...is there a place we could purchase a bushel of crabs to steam at rental house?

Any advice/guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
