Well after reading the posts about Alinea, I tried to book it but to no avail. So I have now decided to try Pelago!! That way we will have an American-G&G, Asian-Le Colonial and now Italian. Definately want to try Bongo Room also!! Thanks for all y'alls help. Come on down to Louisiana and try our food.

Thank you all for all the reponses. We will have 3 nights in Chicago, so we are doing Le Colonial as that is my husband's choice...gotta keep him happy. North Pond sounds like what we are looking for. We have eaten at Tru, Charlie Trotter's and Everst years ago. Alinea sounds a little kooky for us, but am willing to try if you all really think it is worth it....we sorta like tried and true food with a few twists.. had supper at Lonesome Dove in Forth Worth the other night and had smoked lamb belly BLT that was to die for!!!

My husband is going to be so excited with the dim sum options. our itinerary is as follows: Little Owl dinner, Cafe Cluny lunch, Spotted Pig dinner,Locande Verde dinner and maybe Blue Hill??? Maybe head up to Modern for lunch one day.

kathryn thank you for responding. we have rented an apartment on Mulberry and Hester. Thought about Locanda Verde, ABC Kitchen and Spotted Pig. Know they are not in the neighborhood, but wanted smaller venues. Not to worried about price as it is a celebration, but just wanted more of neighborhood type places. Will look up Peasant. wanted to do dim sum in chinatown also

My husband and I are getting an apartment in Nolita for 4 nights. We are from Louisiana and love to eat at all the local hot spots and are interested in great places in lower Manhattan. Maybe one nice restaurant. Had wanted to try Chanterelle, but alas it is now closed. Would love any suggestions as we love all cuisines.
