My husband and I have a tradition of going to a decent Italian restaurant for Christmas Eve each year. We like to stick to the Fairfield/Bridgeport area. In the past we have gone to either Bella Sera or Viale. Bella Sera is ok - Viale is one of our regular spots and we are happy, we are going there the next week for a family dinner, so we are looking for someplace different. I love Liana's but I am not sure if they are open. Any recs???

I can bake - matter of fact - its my favorite thing to do - bit i have have no luck with a decent recipe and I am looking for a tried and true authentic one to prove to my very Irish boyfriend that I can make it - to serve along with my corned beef and cabbage (which is not too shabby)

I agree with 121 - it is one of my favorite places. We go there almost weekly.
Le Chateau is nice, pricier as I remember, but it is pretty.
In Bedford itself, the Meetinghouse, right next to the movie theater, is good. Not exceptional, but I like it for lunch.

I hit up this place at least every other week for their tacos or burritos - I have been going there for about a year plus. Recently, they took over the tattoo shop next door, so they actually have tables and a bathroom. I love their tacos, mmm, their chicken tacos or the pork and pineapple. The burritos that my friend always gets are delicious too.
