My Date Night Just Got Better
A perfect midweek date night in San Francisco: We get a sausage at Rosamunde Sausage Grill and take it next door to the Toronado pub, where we can eat our dinner with some good beer. On my most recent visit, I paired my spicy beer sausage with a glass of Lindemans Framboise Lambic—a departure from the hearty beers I usually pick. I’ve had this lambic before, usually with desserts or on its own, and I was unsure how it would stand up to my meaty meal. After taking my first sip, I was delighted. The sweetness of the raspberries paired perfectly with the spiciness of the sausage and hot mustard. And the beer’s mustiness was enough to hold its own against the big taste of the peppers and sauerkraut.
