This boneless ham is sealed in a can and then cooked. It may consist of a whole piece of meat or pieces pressed together into a form and fused with a gelatin mixture. Less expensive than other types of ham, canned hams are less flavorful and have a higher moisture content, which makes them more perishable. It needs no futher cooking.
