Anthony Bourdain's Rockin' Holiday Special
Music blogs, like Idolator, are all abuzz about the upcoming No Reservations holiday special on the Travel Channel. Apparently, Anthony Bourdain will be cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner while LA-based rockers Queens of the Stone Age jam out in the basement of his Connecticut home. Um, does Bourdain really reside in Connecticut? He sure talks a big game about being from New York. Anyway, here’s what he told Rolling Stone about the show:
‘It’s a traditional Thanksgiving/Christmas meal with turkey, all the trimmings, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie … some Christmas carols … and a vicious brother-on-brother knife fight,’ Bourdain said. ‘We spent a fair amount of time spraying stage blood onto my niece and nephew’s face. What’s a holiday special without violent mayhem? I think it’s an honest reflection of the holiday season.’
QOTSA’s lead man, Josh Homme, who is 6 foot 5, might be the first No Reservations guest who is even taller than Bourdain, but this isn’t the first time a chef has been paired with a rock band on a cooking show. The On Networks online series Dinner with the Band, hosted by New York chef Sam Mason (who recently opened Tailor and definitely doesn’t live in Connecticut), is all over the chef-meets-rockers thing.

Can't wait to see this show!!!!! Maybe he moved to Conn.to make a move on Martha!!!! Who cares where he lives. He sounds like New Jersey to me.

Yeah, I think it's going to be a pretty awesome holiday special. Did anyone catch the Cleveland episode, featuring Marky Ramone? That was my favorite No Reservations moment.
I guess Drew Carey was right- Cleveland must rock!
