Curious if these charges were accurate, CHOW.com made contact with a former production worker on the Food Network show, a woman who asked to be called "Jane" due to the tenets of the nondisclosure agreement she signed as she left the show. "Basically, everything in that City Pages article was true about both of them. Fieri had ridiculous requests at all hours of the day. He knew most of us lived in Central Time, but he would regularly make requests after 11 p.m. He would have shoots rescheduled around getting his hair done. He refused to fly on certain airlines. I don't think anyone actually liked him."
Jane says the whole experience left such a bad taste in her mouth that she exited television production altogether.
Maybe if she'd just given herself a nickname like Dirty J she could have stuck it out.

I love watching the cooking shows and Guy is def a favorite..love his upbeat personality and the way he interacts with people but, having said that, being homophopic isnt a crime....its pretty tacky and def leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I was curious about Guy's background and found out that he had a gay sister who died about a year ago. Guess he must have hated her. Given the fact he was raised and lives in California and is now in the entertainment industry, I find it really hard to believe that gay life styles would upset him.

This is quite an exorcise in pettiness. Nearly every boss is disliked because they are not going to do things exactly the way people think they should be done. Get used to it, and grow up.
Even though I enjoyed watching "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives", I never took a liking to Guy and I couldn't quite put my finger on why. Now I know. The fact that he's homophobic turns me off completely now. I won't be watching his shows any more.

Really? Well, it's not an ongoing relationship, but my husband worked with Guy on some non-food related business recently, and said that he was down to earth, respectful, and a generally very nice guy. Albeit with a stupid hairdo.
