First thing I thought also. However if we a becoming educated on pesticides, then we wouldn't even be using non organic corn. Possibly 1 of the most poisoned foods. Used to live by a farm in Miami and the pesticides spray was so strong. ugh!
Man! I would ONLY use husks from certified organic corn. NON-ORG husks bear the brunt of topically applied herbicides (RoundUp) and pesticides. Not for my broth,thanks very much. :-(
