News that the USDA has blown off the inscrutable (and probably Masonic-related, or at least evil) food pyramid for a plate-shaped icon was welcome to those who had no idea what a "serving" of pork rinds consisted of. Still, it's a little sad that the USDA didn't even consider using any of these pyramids.
But I LIKE oatmeal raisin!
Of course our ag subsidies look like the old pyramid - Lots of money for corn, free grazing for cattle, big help for dairy, and nothing for fresh fruits and veggies.
We wonder why we're fat when the lion's share of our subsidies goes to create cheap feed for cattle, a cheap version of sugar, and government cheese. That's why a burger and fried costs less than a healthy salad.
Oatmeal chocolate chip??? That would have to be acceptable!
Funny! Thanks for posting!

People have never followed (and never will) follow the food pyramid, no matter if it's a pyramid or whatever other shape they can concoct.
I will settle for oatmeal chocolate chip however.
