For those moments when hitting the local grounds-pusher is inconvenient, the mypressi TWIST makes what Wired calls an “excellent, creamy espresso” (article not available online). Despite the name, you don’t twist anything to make the coffee. You pour in preheated water (which, paradoxically, sort of negates its portability), insert a nitrous oxide cartridge, and pour out the brown goodness. Each pour makes two shots; each cartridge makes eight cups.
It’s novel, and look at the crema on these. Mmm.
