  • Rust compromises the integrity of the metal surface. Would you buy a new wok with rust in it? NO? then why cook in one? She's telling you how to clean it if it has gotten rusty or otherwise neglected.

  • she needs a facial makerover, not the wok.
    throw some oil in the wok, turn up the heat, a little rust never hurt anybody.
