Make This Pork-n-Chocolate Crostini

Check out this tasty appetizer from the Tavern at Lark Creek in Larkspur, California: melted Mexican chocolate on a toasted baguette, topped with a slice of spicy Spanish chorizo. Lots of chefs are doing things with chorizo these days, but this is the first time we’ve seen it in this kind of sweet-savory presentation. Seems like a tasty, easy thing to throw together for a dinner party, to serve while your guests drink margaritas. And hey, we’ve got the recipe!

  • Hi Tatamagouche,
That was the recipe that the restaurant gave us...

  • Is the chocolate definitely sweet, not bittersweet?

  • Laurelhurst Market, a new restaurant in Portland, is serving a margarita style drink with tequila that is infused with chorizo. Haven't tasted it, but I know that the man coming up with the drinks (Evan Zimmerman) is well known for coming up with delicious concoctions. Can't wait to taste this!
