Portland's food carts are famous, and offer overwhelming choice. If there's something you want to eat in the city, you can find it on a cart. We visited many carts (here's our take on a few others), but we could only film with two, so we went with a couple of carts serving food we've never seen anywhere else. The first, Viking Soul Food, was recommended to us by Chowhound contributor cheeseisheaven, and specializes in a Norwegian flatbread called lefse which they then fill with stuff, sorta like a Scandinavian burrito. The second, PBJ's, makes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in unique combinations, such as bacon, cherry jam, peanut butter, and jalapeños. And the sandwiches are grilled!

Love lefse! Make my own and they're better than tortillas.
Interesting. I was visualizing carts as a cart, but the viking thing was a trailer while the PBJ was in fact a cart. Maybe we should coin the term "non-traditional" restaurants.
I too find the car advert annoying, but mainly because its always the same ad. I understand you gotta pay the bills here, and ads are the way that happens, so I'll put up with it.
I was down in Portland from Seattle a couple of weeks ago, and checked out Angel's Cabana and Pepper Box at Dreamer's Marketplace in the final hour I had to spare in the city. Highly recommend Angel's Cabana. The owner is super nice, proud of his food, and excited to tell you how he makes everything. There is a dish that is served in a folded over flour tortilla. Started with a B, but I can't remember the name! It had chorizo, eggs, avocado, soffrito, and other goodies, served with the homemade hot sauce. When we bit into it, we were like "yyyeah!!" It was awesome!-COLLAPSE
How can I get rid of the car ad that is superimposed over the first 30 seconds of the recipe? Reeeeallly annoying.
