How to Add Herbs to Fruit Jam

San Francisco–based Shakirah Simley, owner of Slow Jams, suggests using sugar infused with lavender or vanilla to give your jams a little more complexity. Experiment with other herbs, too.

Hmmm...the title is still a little misleading. I would definitely never think of vanilla as being an herb. Lavender is a little iffy too. But using flavored sugars is a cool idea for jam making so thanks!
