I am in love with a different cheesecake-filled item as of late. I discovered cheesecake filled mochi in Tokyo recently and they were the bomb!!
Make it yourself: mix 1 cup ricotta, about 1/4 cup confectioners sugar and a little vanilla extract. Spread between pancakes after cooking (or before cooking for French toast) and enjoy.
And yet... in 1997, this would have been a piece of heaven.
