Patricia Becker, center director for Common Ground Organic Garden Supply and Education Center in Palo Alto, California, gives the rule of thumb for planting seeds: Big ones go deeper than small ones.

    A better rule of would be:
    Follow the specific instructions given for each seed variety. They will also tell you if the seed needs exposure to light to germninate--or not.

    The seed company puts lots of effort--at least a good one will--into giving you the BEST instructions for planting so that you have...+READ
