Gabrielle Feuersinger, owner of San Francisco’s Cake Coquette, makes her own piping cones (also known as pastry cones) with parchment paper. They are quick and easy to do—all it takes is some folding, cutting, and forming—and they allow for very precise detailing.

  • Hmm. Not sure how this gives more control than cutting off the corner of a baggie?

  • Well done. I'm an old restaurant chef & have done same for years BUT well taught! Esp about the last little fold that keeps it together. I make a bunch of them & store them in a marble white wine holder I do not use for wine under the counter so always ready when I do cakes.
