How to Make an Easy Miso Marinade

Stephanie Izard uses this quick, simple white miso marinade for beef or lamb. It provides a good salty flavor and tenderizes too.

I'd recommend adding some citrus here, it's some added depth that's complementary to almost everything. If you're feeling adventurous, mix some fresh squeezed lemon juice + the miso olive oil mix + 1-2 tbsp of Sriracha. Sweet, tangy, salty.
I love miso marinades like this. Some variations I like to play with - add a clove or two of crushed garlic, ground black pepper, sherry vinegar (pairs great with miso) or lemon juice. It's also a really nice marinade ofr certain types of fish - meatier stuff that will stand up to grilling. I like it best of king salmon or bluefish.
