  • This method will have many results depending on thickness of skin on palm and tolerance of heat. A better idea is to use the back of your hand, instead. You can do this with a hot pan as well. People tend to react to surprise or pain by tensing/contracting their muscles - a bad idea if your fingers are inches away from a 400 degree surface.
