How to Measure Dices and Chunks
We know that keeping your
dices and minces and juliennes uniform is crucial for consistent, even cooking of things like
roasted root vegetables. But don’t go measuring out every cut, says CHOW Associate Food Editor Kate Ramos. Use the tools at hand, or on hand, or on your hand.

On "most people"? You mean, most small women, or most large men? This is as useless as the tips that tell people to judge the done-ness of a steak by comparing its resilience to the heel of the thumb. WHOSE hand are we talking about? A bricklayer's or an office worker's?
People are different, and comparing something to your own hand is quite different than comparing it to someone else's.
