How to Clean Your Sponge
A sponge is an instrument of cleanliness. Don’t let bacteria fester.

I have tried this and burnt the sponge in the microwave. That smell was not easy to get out of the microwave. Maybe i'll try boiling the sponge next time.
great tip - I usually wash my sponge in the washing machine, but this is alot quicker. Thanks
I'll have to try that. What I usually do is boil my sponges for a few minutes. That usually does the trick.
I love this tip and do it all of the time now! I do it in 30 second increments as my oven is powerful, and as with any item emerging from a microwave, it could be hot, so use common sense, and just let sit in there for a bit before taking it out. Great tip guys!
It's going to take a lot longer than a second to cool down. the video make's it appear that you can pick up the sponge as soon as the door is opened. Really bad move.
hey DG-
Rick's right, the sponge should be wet and I leave it in the microwave for about 2 minutes. And let it sit for a second afterwards as the sponge could be hot.
the sponge must be wet since microwaves don't see anything dry, they only agitate moisture.
Would that be a dry sponge or a wet sponge?
How long would you leave it in the microwave?
thanks for the tip.
