It didn't flame actually long enough to see...I watched it 3 times, and it went out about the same second it lit up. What about dipping the edge into some warm brandy first, I think the bit of pith left on the zest would soak it up fairly well.
Organic anyone?
I think you're right, Lemon Curry.Nonetheless, flaming citrus peel is for real and makes an enormous difference.
I don't think you can caramelize an oil...
What about the wax coat that's been sprayed on nearly all produce, including and especially citrus fruit?
