yes, this needs a video. many people begin by cutting the lime in the opposite direction, and the trick of the center slice really is cutting edge.
I might have to agree with LMelba. If you couldn't figure this out yourself, you shouldn't be allowed near a knife! That said, I have enjoyed and learned from lots of the other CHOW tips I see here.
LMelba, You'd be amazed at what people do and don't know...but really, these tips are just meant to be a collection of shared wisdom--quick little food ideas that might make someone's drink a bit spiffier and more fun!
