Yeah, at home I always go for the rinse->freezer method. much better than going through all that ice.
you can do the same think with a little ice and water
ridiculous. so much for presentation when there are drop of water all over the martini glass. just put it in the fridge for ten minutes.
Kind of a waste of resources (the energy to make the ice, only to toss it 20 seconds later), unless you reuse the ice, which I don't think I'd want to do. Instead, I rinse the inside of the glass with water and then put the damp glass in the freezer for a minute or two. The freezer's already working, so it doesn't waste energy, and I'd suspect that the result is similar or perhaps even superior...+READ

Is it really true that club soda chills the glass faster than water? I've heard that for years.
