  • microplanes--i could not get by a day without them.there are a lot of different styles and they all are super.check out the pictures of about 12-14 different styles at www.cookescutlery.com.

  • How you could have omitted the famous Peter Petrie Egg Seperator ($12.99) is beyond me: a ceramic mug resembling a face. Crack the eggs and gently place in the mug; the yolks are retained within, while the egg white drips from the nostrils of the mug's face. It has a definite EWWW factor, but kids LOVE it , and it's guaranteed to liven-up any baking session. Find at many sites, including here:

  • tea lantern is nice.. good idea with the candle and all, but no handle? one would think wrapping a hand around a hot cylinder of freshly brewed tea would not be enjoyable..

  • ah, dear microplane graters. they are the gift that keeps on giving.

  • FABULOUS selection of gifts! Where do you guys find all this cool stuff. The items are colorful, classic and functional...how perfect. I WANT THEM ALL! If not for myself, at least I know what I'm getting some peeps for weddings this summer. Thanks guys!

  • Neato burrito! Gifts for every occasion for the next ten years!

  • What excellent finds! Love the hotel silver site and Zingermans. I will absolutely send the Provence gift basket to my sister for her birthday. She loves France and says you only need to know three words to have a wonderful trip - vin, pain, et fromage.
Very unique suggestions. Trust Chow to do the research and come up with such great gift ideas. Thanks!
