There are some news items from the gastronomic world that require little commentary. This exciting AP update from the great state of Pennsylvania is among them:
The state agency that regulates Pennsylvania liquor stores may take its products on the road.
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board spokesman Nick Hays says the idea of mobile liquor stores is just one of several possibilities the agency is weighing to make wine and hard liquor more available in rural parts of the state.
Because if there’s any problem currently plaguing rural America, it’s a lack of alcohol.
... well it made me smile :)
While the idea of a mobile state-run liquor store is admittedly quite humorous, your closing snipe at 'flyover' country is neither particularly clever nor at all decorous.
I live in Pennsylvania, so I guess the only thing about a mobile liquor store is that they'll be able to take the over-priced crappy selection on the road.
