A confusing tweet crossed the proverbial desk on Thursday: @Kay819 declared "The 1st interviewee with @Bethenny works for @CHOW? How'd he even find out about the assistant job?? @bravotv @Bravoandy"
Thanks to the unorthodox spelling of her name (and my studious reading of Us Weekly), plus the callouts to BravoTV, it seemed pretty obvious that this was referring to Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York City. Yet what CHOW staffer was applying for an assistant job for the author of books like "Naturally Thin" and "The Skinnygirl Dish"?
And then Eater dug up the clip. We still don't know who this guy is, he doesn't actually work for CHOW, but apparently he posts to Chowhound—there's some talk about him on the Food Media board but his identity has yet to be revealed.
The exchange goes like this:
Bethenny: "You blog for Chowhound?"
Dude: "Yeah, I've got a blog that I write."
And then Bethenny gets all hardcore about his falafel choices and usage of umlauts ("nice!"). And he totally one-ups her about the secret bar in Crif Dog! Score. Chowhound cred takes him far. Though it doesn't sound like dude got the job.
I'd just like to add that a lot of people refer to posting on sites like chowhound as "blogging" -- not the posters themselves, but other people who've heard about blogging but have no idea what a message board is or how posting on one is different than a blog.
My explanation/apology here:

@bigwheel042 yeah, something like that. not good to correct people if you can avoid it in a job interview, at least in my book. I apologized to the people on the food media board. I love Chowhound and didn't mean to say I represented you all, or was trying to be disingenuous.
@chow Hell yeah I'd take a job, though I assume the offer is facetious.
looks like his posts are here: http://www.chow.com/profile/22662
to me the clip makes it look like bethenny just mixed up something she'd been briefed on before the interview. he probably told a producer "oh, i have a blog (his wordpress blog, linked on the twitter profile) and i visit a bunch of sites like chowhound" and things got lost in translation to "nick blogs for chowhound."

rather than just correct her, my guess is he didn't hear exactly what she said or figured he might as well just roll with it rather than explain that his blog and chowhound posting are two separate things.-COLLAPSE
And he's uncovered: http://twitter.com/feitelogram
But where is this so-called blog? Can't find him on Chowhound.
