A friend recently sent me a bottle of Moon River Brewing Company’s Screaming Pickle Sauce, the joke being that I am a fan of neither pickles nor hot sauce. My natural reluctance, however, was quickly worn down by the cartoon image of a pickle on the label, boasting, “Everything tastes better with a pickle!” I briefly thought about the magnitude of this statement, and concluded I would be a fool not to try the stuff. The flavor of the sauce can only be described as hot, liquid pickle, embodying the almost cooling, briney essence of a pickle initially, but finishing with the heat of chile peppers. Three weeks and two bottles later, I still cannot verify that it makes everything taste better, but it certainly works on things small enough to fit into my mouth.

It would probably taste like Tabasco.
I wonder what it would taste like if you used pickled peppers to make a hot sauce.
