I love pineapple but hate peeling it. Then my wife found this amazing tool that works like a corer and a peeler all in one. It plunges into the pineapple to take out the core, while shearing the fruit away from the spikes on the outside. You can’t adjust it for the size of the fruit, and I wish it cut closer to the peel so I didn’t waste as much of the good stuff. But it’s still worth it.
Pineapple Peeler/Slicer/Corer, $22.95
^^^haha.
...and the product-pushing continues. Actually, i think I'll buy one. I have a perfect place for it between the air popcorn popper that I never use and the magic bullet that I never use.
*Cheers to the pineapple peeler thingie!

Don't listen to Alton Brown or madgreek --- I have one of those pineapple tool thingies and it is wonderful.
But I think you can get one for less than $23. A quick search on Google finds one for 1/3 the price.

I'm of the Alton Brownian belief that while interesting, uni-taskers have no place in the kitchen. Use a knife. It takes 30 seconds. I am baffled at how lazy we've become.
I love it! Now the pineapples I get on sale don't go bad.
