Love it or hate it, you can’t avoid candy corn this time of year.
Bonny Wolf, of NPR’s Kitchen Window, loves it and turned in a nice little “Ode to Candy Corn” for Sunday’s Weekend Edition.
Although she shuns bunny corn (pastel-colored for Easter), Indian corn (brown, orange, and yellow for Thanksgiving), cupid corn, and reindeer corn, Wolf admits she is powerless over the lure of the classic white, orange, and yellow variety:
It’s hard to eat one piece of candy corn. If you eat one piece, you have to eat the whole bag, no matter how big it is. This usually makes you sick.
